One of the most unique and rewarding promotions at Full Tilt is the Iron Man challenge. In fact, you've probably heard about it on forums if you've been playing online poker for a few months because it's just so popular.
However, just because it's a great promotion, it doesn't mean it's easy to understand. In fact, it's pretty tricky to get your head around it at first. Therefore, I am writing this Full Tilt Iron Man challenge guide to help explain it all in one quick and painless article.
The Full Tilt Iron Man challenge rewards players for playing consistently.
To achieve a higher Iron Man challenge status, you must collect over a certain number of Full Tilt points and play a certain number of days in a month.
The "Iron Man" challenge is cool because it rewards regular grinders at even the lowest stakes, rather than just the big high stakes players.

As mentioned above, your Iron Man status depends on how often and how much you play. Here's a table taken from the Full Tilt website that shows you how to achieve different statuses.
As you can see, you don't have to play every single day in a month, but the more you play the better. The higher your status is at the end of the month, the more medals you will receive...
At the end of the month, depending on your Iron Man status (which depends on how much and how frequently you played), you will be given a set amount of medals.
So, if this is your first month playing regularly at Full Tilt and you achieve "Gold status" in the Iron Man challenge, you will receive 70 medals. Nice work.
Now, an added incentive as shown in this table is to continue achieving a high Iron Man status from one month to the next. If you were to continue to attain Gold status for 7 months in a row, you would be receiving 125 medals each month for all your hard work. It pays to be consistent and play regularly.
The maximum amount of medals that you can receive in one month in the Iron Man challenge is 900. As you can see from the table, you will need to achieve the Iron status for 37 months in a row, which is 3 years and 1 month. Now that's commitment!

With these medals, you can redeem them for cash bonuses, clothes, tournament entries and a few other cool things. The cash bonuses are the most popular though. With the medals it's a lot like earning Full Tilt points and redeeming them in the Full Tilt Points store.
Points and Medals can both be redeemed for prizes and stuff, but in different shops. Try not to get too confused with all these different imaginary currencies flying around.
As well as being rewarded with Iron Man medals that you can exchange for bonuses in the Iron Man challenge store, you are eligible to enter freerolls that are restricted to Iron Man players of certain statuses. So the Bronze status players can enter the Bronze freeroll and so on. These are more exclusive than the standard freerolls at Full Tilt Poker.
The winner of the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Iron freerolls will then go on to play in a 4-man SnG for $5K, which is on top of their winnings from the freerolls.
The winner of this SnG will then have the opportunity to win $50k ($100k if you have Iron status) by playing in three heads-up matches against Full Tilt pros. If you win them all, you win the money. Lose one and you don't get anything I'm afraid.
Yes there's more.
If you are some sort of God and can achieve 500 points a day on a regular basis and achieve an Iron Man status, you will receive extra medals.
You can do a lot of damage with all those medals and points in the Full Tilt stores!

I think that just about covers it. Apologies if I've missed anything. But anyway, as you can see the Iron Man challenge is pretty lucrative if you're a regular grinder. It's also nice to see the regular players being rewarded for once and not just the high stakes guys and girls.
If you're thinking of starting work on the Iron Man challenge, don't forget to enter a Full Tilt Poker referral code after you have downloaded the software to get your hands on a nice and healthy 100% up to $600 Full Tilt bonus.
If you're both a consistent and higher stakes player, the Full Tilt Black Card promotion should interest you a lot. Possibly even more so than the Iron Man Challenge.
