Full Tilt Points

When you play for real money at Full Tilt poker, you will accumulate Full Tilt player points, which are also known as FPPs.

You can check how many Full Tilt points you have by clicking on the cashier button in the lobby. This will display how many player points you currently have in your account. But what are these Full Tilt points all about exactly?

How do you get Full Tilt points?

You accumulate Full Tilt points by playing for real money at the Full Tilt Poker tables. This includes both cash games and tournaments.

In cash games you will receive 1 point for participating in a pot where the rake reaches a minimum of $1. You are also able to receive a maximum of 3 points in each hand you play if the rake reaches $3 in the hand.

In tournaments you will receive a flat 7 points every time you pay $1 in tournament entry fees. Therefore, if you were to enter a tournament that had a $5 entry fee, you would receive 35 Full Tilt points (5 x 7 = 35). So to conclude:

  • 1 point for every $1 raked pot at cash tables.
  • 7 points for every $1 paid in tournament fees.

What can you do with Full Tilt Points?

This is the best part. Aside from using the points to redeem the Full Tilt Poker bonus, the points you accumulate in your account can be used to buy items from the Full Tilt store. At the store you can buy such items as:

Full Tilt Store
  • T-shirts
  • Books
  • DVD's
  • Caps
  • Jerseys
  • Bags
  • Electronics
  • Poker chips
  • ...and more

You can even have your own custom avatar created for use at the poker tables, but this does come in at a hefty price of 1,000,000 Full Tilt points. Nonethless, it would be pretty cool to have your own image instead of having to choose from the standard set of Full Tilt Avatars.

I would personally recommend that you save your Full Tilt points for the various books on offer at the store. These are perfectly attainable if you are a regular player at the room, and these books will go a long way to helping you develop the most profitable game possible.

If you are after a few items of clothing, you can use your Full Tilt player points to buy a variety of items such as; Jerseys, T-shirts, Shirts, Caps, Jackets and Hoodies. My favorite out of these is the Jerseys, which can also be customized to have your name on the back.

If you are a high roller, there are some pretty sweet looking electronics available at the Full Tilt store. There is a nice variety of wide screen TV's, Camcorders and Cameras for you to choose from. However, these are a little on the steep side, and so you will have to accumulate a large number of points before you are able to purchase some of these.

Aside from spending points in the store, Full Tilt points are also used in conjunction with promotions like the "Black Card" status.

Collecting vs. Spending Full Tilt points.

If you play at Full Tilt for long enough, I am sure that you are going to be faced with the tricky decision of either saving your points for a bigger prize, or to go ahead and get your hands on a smaller prize. To help you make the best decision, you have to ask yourself one quick question:

Do you really want the item that you are thinking about buying?

It is easy to get carried away and have the urge to spend your Full Tilt points, but do you really want the item you are thinking about purchasing. If the answer is no, then you are better off saving those player points for something much better from the store later on down the line.
