Pro Poker Players At Full Tilt

Full Tilt Poker is well known for attracting the likes of many professional poker players. These Full Tilt Pros can usually be spotted at the tables by their unique avatars, which surprisingly look a lot like them the majority of the time. Here is a quick run down of a few of the professional poker players currently playing at Full Tilt Poker.

Phil Ivey.

Phil IveyPhil Ivey is quite possibly the most renowned Full Tilt pro at the room. Regarded by many as one of (if not the) best player in the world, he has won many prestigious poker tournaments over the years. Ivey managed to place in the top 25 in 3 Main Event's between 2002 and 2005, which is no mean feat considering the large field of players at the start of these events.

Phil Ivey currently plays more cash games than tournaments, and can often be seen playing at the highest cash game stakes in both Omaha and Texas Hold'em at Full Tilt.

Chris Ferguson.

Chris FergusonChris Ferguson first rose to fame after winning the 2000 World Series Main Event, beating T.J Cloutier to net him a cool $1.5 Million. Ferguson is mainly a tournament player, but is comfortable playing in Texas Hold'em cash games as well as other games like Omaha and Stud.

Ferguson is one of the more recognizable players out of the Full Tilt pros due to his Cowboy hat, long hair and beard. He is also well known for wielding a unique ability to accurately throw cards across rooms, as well as being able to throw cards hard enough to cut through fruit.

Phil Gordon.

Phil GordonPhil Gordon is one of the few Full Tilt Pros yet to win a bracelet, but his consistent high finishes make it obvious that he is a very talented player. He has finished highly in a number of large events, including his 4th in the 2001 WSOP Main Event, which won him a very handy $400,000.

Gordon is also the author of a very popular book on No Limit Texas Hold'em. The book is titled "Phil Gordon's Little Green Book; Lessons and Teaching in No Limit Hold'em" and contains incredibly useful tips and guides on how to play the game. The book is regarded as one of the very best for anyone looking to become a winning Texas Hold'em player.

Phil Gordon is also the tallest member of the Full Tilt pros, standing at a staggering 6' 9".

Howard Lederer.

Howard LedererAlso known as "The Professor", Howard Lederer has won 2 gold bracelets throughout his professional career in poker. In fairness, despite the fact that he is undoubtedly a great player, he has suffered from his fair share of bad luck over the years in many of the major poker tournaments. I would comfortably say that if Lederer had a little more luck on his side, this figure could easily have been doubled or even tripled.

Lederer's first love was for the game of chess, and he was a very talented player. However, he actually first found the game of poker in the back of a chess club. Since that point he has developed into one of the most talented and calculated poker players in the world.

Erik Seidel.

Erik SeidelErik Seidel has won a boat load of tournament bracelets. Since turning from a backgammon player into the stock market, and later on to playing poker, he has won 8 WSOP bracelets in total.

Despite being one of the lesser know pros at Full Tilt poker, he has a very well rounded game, and is well versed in each of the poker variants. His ability to play the games of Texas Hold'em, Omaha and Stud well is likely the main reason as to why he has picked up so many bracelets over the years.

Aside from playing poker, Erik Seidel does enjoy playing the odd game of tennis.

Gus Hansen.

Gus HansenThe "Great Dane" Gus Hansen is easily the wildest player out of the Full Tilt Pros. Hansen's popularity stems from his fearless ability to play what seems like any two cards at the table and still come out on top. His wild and exceptionally loose play makes him a tricky opponent to play against.

Gus Hansen won one of the biggest pots in televised poker on the show "High Stakes Poker" against fellow pro poker player Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu held a full house, but Hansen had improved on the turn to make four of a kind. Negreanu couldn't let the hand go and called Hansen's all-in re raised on the river, landing him a very tasty $575,700 pot.

Erick Lindgren.

Erick LindgrenErick Lindgren is a relatively new player when compared to the rest of the Full Tilt Pros, despite the fact that he won his first major tournament way back in 2002. His game of choice is No Limit Texas Hold'em.

Lindgren was named the WPT player of the year 2004, and has won 1 WSOP bracelet. As far as tournaments go, he has managed to rack up over $7 Million since he first started playing poker professionally, which helps to solidify his place on the Full Tilt pro players team.

Other Full Tilt Pros.

There are a number of other pros at Full Tilt, but these ones are the most interesting (of course). You can find out about more of the Full Tilt Pros at the Full Tilt website.
